Sinnott PTA Shoe Drive
Drop-off your gently worn, used and unused shoe-pairs. Please keep the pairs together. Use rubber-bands or just tie the laces.
Time: 10am - 4pm, Aug 28/29 Sat/Sun, and Oct 2/ 3 Sat/Sun.
Location: Front Office, John Sinnott Elementary School.
We are proud to present the Sinnott PTA Shoe Drive. Declutter your home, help people in need and raise funds for our kids. While at it, also reduce waste and help save the planet. What a deal you say? We couldn’t agree more.
Did you know? In the US alone, over 600 million pairs of shoes are thrown away every year. Each pair of shoes have chemical compounds that can cause health hazards if left to disintegrate in the landfills. By donating your gently worn, used and unused shoes to John Sinnott PTA, your shoes are given a second chance to make a difference. All donated shoes will be redistributed to microenterprise partners through Funds2Orgs, a for-profit social enterprise that helps micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations.
Please help spread the word among your local community groups, friends and colleagues. The bigger the outreach the more money we will raise for our school. Even if you miss the drop-off, no worries! The Shoe Collection Box will stay outside our front office until October 20! You can drop the shoes any day during this time.
You do not have to be a PTA member to participate, though we would love for everyone to join our PTA. Together, we can do more programs that benefit our kids and our community. For more details on membership, please visit sinnottpta.org.

About Sinnott PTA
John Sinnott Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our volunteer-driven PTA Board is composed of dedicated parents and teachers who organize and implement 25+ PTA programs for kids. We suggest a $150/child annual PTA donation to provide extra resources and programs which are not provided for by district funds. It directly impacts our kids, the students, by offering them exclusive opportunities to achieve their full potential and participate in state/national level tournaments.
