2025 Honorary Service Awards
Call for Nominations
Dear Sinnott Families,
Do you know of a teacher or volunteer within the school that deserves to be recognized for their service and dedication to John Sinnott Elementary School? Does this person go above and beyond to help make a difference?
This is your chance to nominate them for an Honorary Service Award.
John Sinnott Elementary School PTA supports the California State PTA Honorary Service Award Program. The Honorary Service Awards (HSA) are the PTA's way to honor some of the extraordinary teachers/volunteers among us and recognize the impact their huge investment of time, effort, and dedication has had at John Sinnott Elementary School. It's time to acknowledge and celebrate some of our fabulous, hard-working teachers/volunteers whose contributions add immeasurable value to the elementary school experience our children enjoy.
The HSA Program includes the following awards. A person may receive more than one of these awards.
Golden Oak Service Award (GOSA): This award is given to recognize, as the most prestigious of the Honorary Service Awards, an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in a school or community.
Outstanding Teacher Award (OTA): This award is given to recognize a teacher for outstanding service to children and youth through PTA, school, or community.
Outstanding Administrator Award (OAA): This award is given to recognize an administrator for outstanding service to children and youth through PTA, school, or the community.
Honorary Service Award (HSA): This award is given to recognize an individual or organization for outstanding service to children and youth in your community, going above and beyond what is asked of them.
Continuing Service Award (CSA): This award is given to recognize an individual or organization for ongoing or long-time service to children and youth, providing support year after year.
Very Special Person Award (VSP): This award is given to recognize a teacher or community member for outstanding service to children and youth through PTA, school or community.
Please take a moment to tell us about a deserving individual whose contributions to our school stand out in your mind - whose time, energy, enthusiasm, and dedication have made a program extra special, or have had a positive impact on our students, our school, or our community.
The deadline for nominations is April 15, 2025.
Thank you for your help in honoring those who give so much of themselves!
Kind regards,
Sinnott PTA HSA Committee
