Overview

​Introducing John Sinnott PTA's public speaking program - Xpressions


The program is going to be offered online via zoom on a weekly basis and split across two groups K-G2 and G3-G6. It's going to be volunteered by high-school students who are seasoned in public-speaking (duo, humorous-interpretation, impromptu, parliamentary-debates) and have competed at district and state level.


Program will be offered in multiple sessions throughout the academic year.

Volunteer Biographies

Keerthana Noru is a 12th grader at Evergreen Valley High School. She been doing competitive public speaking for the past 6 years. She has  won prizes in numerous competitions, and is looking forward on passing down public speaking skills. She enjoys learning speech, and thinks it is a great tool everyone can benefit from. She participates in impromptu, and duo dramatic interpretation.

Ayetra Sarkar is a 12th grader at EVHS. Speech and Debate has been a part of her life for almost 10 years now, and she has gained speaking experience from competitions, emceeing events, and teaching students through classes/clubs. She loves watching students grow and gain stage presence and enjoys learning with everyone she has encountered while developing speaking and communication skills. The events she has participated in are Duo Interpretation and Original Oratory.

Syona Bhide is a senior at Evergreen Valley High School. She has been doing speech since 5th grade and looks forward to teaching students! She has competed in many speech events but her favorites are Dramatic Interpretation and Informative Speaking. She’s currently ranked top 5 in the state and has numerous other accolades. She’s excited to get to know the students and and have a fun time with the classes.

Kaeya Bhide is an eighth grader. She has participated in many public speaking competitions and has been doing competitive speech for all of middle school. She is familiar with all the speech events and currently participates in Informative Speaking and Humorous Interpretation. Aside from her experience, she has finaled at many competitions including the State Championship. Kaeya can't wait to share her passion for public speaking with the students!
