Introducing John Sinnott PTA's public speaking program - Xpressions.
The program is going to be offered online via zoom on a weekly basis and split across two groups K-G2 and G3-G6. It's going to be led by high-school student volunteers who are seasoned in public-speaking (duo, humorous-interpretation, impromptu, parliamentary-debates) and have competed at district and state level.
Program will be offered in multiple sessions throughout the academic year.

Kaeya Bhide is an 9th grader at EVHS. She has participated in many public speaking competitions and has been doing competitive speech for all of middle school. She is familiar with all the speech events and currently participates in Informative Speaking and Humorous Interpretation. Aside from her experience, she has finaled at many top competitions. She has double championed at Bay Area Middle School Championship and she recently won third at Middle School Nationals. Kaeya enjoyed working with students last year and watching them grow. She can't wait to share her passion for public speaking with the students this year!
Niara Jhaveri is a 9th grader at Evergreen Valley High School. She has being doing competitive speech throughout middle school and has participated in multiple tournaments over the years. Niara is familiar with Platform and Limited Prep events, and currently participates in Informative Speaking and Declamation. She has finaled at multiple tournaments, including State Championships. Niara is passionate about public speaking skills and is very excited to meet and engage with the students!
Ananya Karthikeyan is a 9th grader at Milpitas High School. She has been introduced to all speech events and has competed at multiple competitions in Original Oratory and Original Interpretation. She has participated in competitions outside of school and in school. With two younger siblings, Ananya works well with kids and enjoys helping them grow. Amongst her extensive experience Ananya has semi-finaled at States and octo-finaled at Nationals. She looks forward to working with her students and watching them develop into young public speakers!
